Measurement

How to Measure Your Wall

Accurate measurements ensure a perfect fit. Follow these simple steps to measure your wall correctly.

What You'll Need

Tape Measure

Use an industry-standard retractable steel tape measure (at least 5m).

Pen & Paper

Write down measurements as you go.

A Helper

Measuring is easier with two people.

Step Ladder

Use a step ladder to reach higher points — stay careful and steady.

The One Rule

1

Don't Guess

Don't measure by guesswork. Never order with measurements you're not sure about.

2

Measure the Whole Wall

Even with a door, window, or outlet, don't try to subtract that area — measure the wall's full width and height.

3

Allow for Construction Tolerance

Walls can have small construction irregularities between top and bottom. Always add a few extra centimeters to allow for this.

4

Add a 5cm Trim Allowance

Add a 5cm trim allowance to both the width and the height, separately.

Measure by Wall Type

No two walls are exactly alike. Find the example closest to yours.

Standard Wall

Standard Wall

Even with a door, window, or outlet, don't try to subtract that area from your total — measure the wall's full width and height, corner to corner and floor to ceiling.

Wall with Columns

Wall with Columns

Your wall may have columns running horizontally or vertically. A column isn't an obstacle to work around — measure each of its faces separately and add them to your wall measurement.

Sloped Wall

Sloped Wall

For a sloped ceiling or attic wall, measure only the widest and highest points, ignoring the slope. Your mural is produced as a rectangle, and any area outside the pattern is trimmed away during installation.

Corner Wall

Corner Wall

If your mural wraps around a corner and you want the pattern to continue seamlessly, add both walls' widths together and enter it as one measurement — no need to order it in pieces.

Common Questions

There's an outlet or door on my wall — how do I measure?

Don't subtract these areas from your measurement — enter the wall's full width and height whether or not there's a door, window, or outlet.

What if I make a measuring mistake?

Within the first 12 hours of ordering, contact us to have your measurements corrected or cancel free of charge. After that, production has already started and changes can't be made — so we recommend double-checking your measurements before you submit.

How many panels will I receive?

The panel count depends on your wall width and your chosen material's panel width — each material can be produced at a different width.
